Temporary Pause on Website MOTs
With the Easter bank holidays approaching, alongside a number of pre-booked staff holidays and a particularly high volume of recent requests, we will be taking a short pause on our Website MOT service.
From 23rd March through to 10th April, no new website MOTs will be carried out during this period.
This is a planned and temporary pause to allow our team to catch up on current workloads, maintain the quality of our reviews, and ensure we continue delivering the high standard of service our councils rely on. As many of you will know, our Website MOTs involve a detailed review of your site content, accessibility, and compliance, so it is important that we give each one the time and attention it deserves.
Website MOTs have become an increasingly important part of ensuring council websites remain compliant, particularly with the latest WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements and ongoing audit expectations.
Because of this, demand has grown significantly over recent months, and we want to make sure that when we carry out a review, it is thorough, accurate, and genuinely useful to your council.
Booking During the Pause
We understand that many councils are working towards audit deadlines, so to help manage demand during this period, we will be operating a waiting list. If you would like to secure a slot for when the service resumes, you can still submit a request using the link below:
Requests will be handled in the order they are received, and we will begin working through the waiting list as soon as the service resumes.
When We Resume
Website MOTs will restart from 13th April onwards, and we will be prioritising those already on the waiting list.
We expect this to be a busy period as we work through the backlog, so we would strongly recommend joining the waiting list if you are planning to request a review.
