Help and Support

The right help without the hunting

Sometimes you just need the right instructions and five quiet minutes.

Whether you are updating a WordPress website, signing in to webmail, adding a council email account to a new phone or looking after one of our older V6 websites, you can find the relevant help below. If the guide does not answer your question, contact our support team. Tell us what you are trying to do and where you became stuck, and we will help you from there.

WordPress video tutorials

Need a reminder of how to update your website?

Our short video tutorials cover the everyday jobs you are most likely to need, including changing a page, publishing news, adding photographs and uploading documents. You can follow them at your own pace and return whenever you need a quick refresher.

Your new webmail

Our webmail guide explains how to access your council mailbox through a web browser and covers the main tools available once you have signed in. It is a useful starting point if your email service has recently moved or you are using webmail for the first time.

Setting up your email

Want to use your council email on a computer, phone or tablet?

Our setup guides explain the information you will need and take you through adding your mailbox to commonly used email apps. Keep your email address, password and account settings nearby before you begin.

V6 website support

Still using one of our V6 council websites? Our dedicated V6 support area contains guidance for managing your existing website, along with access to the support resources created for that system.

Not every problem fits neatly into a guide.

If something is not working or you are unsure what to do next, send our support team the website or email address involved, a short description of the problem and a screenshot if one would help. We will take a look and explain the next step.
