Council Email Services

Email that quietly gets on with the job

Email is one of those services nobody wants to spend time thinking about. It should be available when you need it, deliver messages properly and give you somewhere to turn when something goes wrong.

We look after more than 3,500 council email addresses, from single clerk mailboxes to councils where every member has their own account.

Whether you want us to manage everything or would prefer more control yourself, we can set up an email service that works for your council.

Reliable and protected

Your email is hosted on a modern UK-based platform designed to keep the service available and your messages moving.

Spam and virus filtering help stop unwanted or harmful messages. Email authentication, including SPF and DKIM, helps protect your domain and improves the chances of legitimate messages reaching their destination. Mailboxes are backed up automatically each day, with snapshots retained for 30 days. If an important folder or message is deleted accidentally, we may be able to restore it.

Managed by us or controlled by you

Some councils want us to create accounts, reset passwords and look after the technical settings. Others would rather manage their own mailboxes and domains. Both options are available. We will explain the difference and help you choose the arrangement that best suits your council.

Moving your existing email

Moving email can sound like a job best avoided, especially when years of council correspondence are involved.

We can handle the migration from your existing provider, help set up the new accounts and provide the settings needed for your devices. Before anything moves, we will explain what can be transferred and what you may need to save separately.

Tell us how many mailboxes you need and whether you already have a council domain. We will explain the available options and provide a straightforward quotation.
