WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT IS YOUR JOB ROLE?

I’m Jonny the office dog. I’ve been part of the Vision ICT team since I was a little puppy and I have a very important role. When we were still working in the office, I made sure that everyone was aware when we had a visitor by barking when the bell rang. I also make all visitors feel welcome by barking at them. Now that I’m working from home, I have fewer responsibilities but I do have the very important job of making sure my Dad, Paul, keeps working on building websites for our clients. It’s very tiring so I often fall asleep.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORK DAY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?

My Dad usually has his breakfast when he starts work so my first task is to look at him while he is eating it and hope something magically falls in my mouth. After that I’ll have a nap. I used to go for my walk after work but now that everyone is at home, my Mum takes me out in the morning. I then check that Dad is working hard and then have another nap. I take my role of making sure everyone is aware when we have visitors very seriously so continue to do this at home by barking at the postman.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK?

I love going for walks and I often go for jogs with my Mum and make sure she doesn’t go too slow. I like meeting my friends in the park for a run around and a sniff.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK/TV PROGRAMME/MOVIE?

I really enjoyed watching 100 walks to do with your dog which was on TV a little while ago. Other than that I prefer napping to reading or watching TV.

WHAT WOULD YOUR SUPERHERO NAME BE AND WHAT SUPER POWER WOULD YOU HAVE?

My parents call me so many names already I don’t think I could deal with another name but if I could have one super power it would be to magically make tasty treats appear whenever I wanted one. I’d just make a whole pile of them appear and eat them all.

WHEN THEY ASKED YOU WHAT JOB YOU WANTED TO HAVE WHEN YOU WERE A PUPPY, WHAT DID YOU ANSWER?

I think I would do well in the entertainment industry as I can stand on my back paws and wave my front paws up and down. Everyone thinks this is very entertaining. I could also be a sniffer dog because I can sniff out the tiniest crumb of food from a mile away. I get distracted easily and like napping too much to be successful as a sniffer dog.

My full name is Jonny Ding-a-ling. Don’t ask, my Dad has a weird sense of humour.
