WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT IS YOUR JOB ROLE?
I’m Daniel and I’m the Director of Vision ICT. I also help with sales and look after the strategic development of the company, steering it through the interesting times we are currently dealing with.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORK DAY LOOK LIKE FOR
YOU?
Firstly, I’ll have an early morning chat with the team about the current workload, what they’re up to and how I can help maintain a team environment in these strange times.
Midday I connect with external partners and potential clients. Finally, in the afternoon, I’ll address the more advanced support tickets, catch up with emails and do a final check in with the team.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I’m a very keen Liverpool fan who’s lucky enough to see a good few games a year. I also love to travel, and through the company, we support a fantastic charity SlumAid that looks to help children in the slums in Mumbai, India.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK/TV
PROGRAMME/MOVIE?
I spend a lot of time travelling, so I tend to listen to a lot of Audiobooks. I have recently discovered H.G. Wells books which are groundbreaking if you consider when they were written.
A more modern book I’m listening to is Shantaram, a novel by Gregory David Roberts, in which a convicted Australian bank robber and heroin addict escapes from Pentridge Prison and flees to India. I commend it for its vivid portrayal of tumultuous life in Bombay.
WHAT WOULD YOUR SUPERHERO NAME BE AND WHAT
SUPERPOWER WOULD YOU HAVE?
I’m not sure on a name, but I would love to have the ability to fly if I could fly quickly.
WHEN THEY ASKED YOU WHAT JOB YOU WANTED TO HAVE
WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD, HOW DID YOU ANSWER?
Primary school headteacher; I think the impression you can make at this stage of a child's development can make such a difference to the rest of their life. While I’ll never be a headteacher now, it definitely led me to support of the work SlumAid.
CAN YOU TELL US A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I once flew a kite in a professional kite flying video under the advance kite flying section. In the video, I flew a stunt kite blindfolded with no hands. I can also juggle four balls and three fire clubs.
